Sini otti omaa lomaa

Kesälomalla Ylistarossa Sini lähti omille teilleen.
Samikin käyttäytyi omituisesti, eikä halunnut mennä ulos. Siniä etsittiin ja huudeltiin kolme päivää, laitettiin ilmoituksia ja soiteltiin ovikellojakin. Alkoi näyttää, että Sini on menetetty ja lopulta oli lähdettävä kyynelet silmissä kotiin. Kaikki surivat, Sami varsinkin. Oli selvää, että se ei viihdy yksin ja tarvitsee kaverin. Söpö maatiaispentu hankittiin saman tien. Se piristi Samia jonkin verran, mutta ei tietysti korvannut menetystä.

Sitten tuli soitto Ylistarosta: Sini on nähty! Mikä riemu. Sitä nähtiin uudelleenkin, mutta se ei antanut vieraalle kiinni. Ei kun junaan ja hakemaan. Tutut äänet kuullessaan Sini juoksi piilostaan ja jälleennäkemisen riemu oli rajatonta. Koko ilta meni kehrätessä. Sini oli ollut kateissa noin 2 viikkoa.

Kotona Sami riemastui kun kumppani ilmestyi. Mutta sitten alkoivat ongelmat. Sini ei tietenkään hyväksynyt uutta tyttöpentua omassa kodissaan. Se osoitti katkeruuttaan kaikille. Pennulle se sähisi ja Samille ja ihmisille murisi. Se eristäytyi omiin oloihinsa osin myös väsymystään. Pennulle löytyi hyvä koti lähipiiristä ja se muutti pois. Sinin käytös normalisoitui vähitellen noin kuukauden kuluessa.

Sini decided to take some leave...

On our holiday in northern Finland Sini decided to have some own leave that is we couldn't find her anywhere. Sami was also behaving strangely and wouldn't go out. We looked for Sini for three days, put some ads everywhere and ringed the doorbells. It began to look we had lost Sini forever. At the end we had to get back home with tears in our eyes. Everybody was grieving, most of all Sami. It was obvious he couldn't be alone and that he needed a pal.
A cute kitten was acquired. She cheered Sami up some, but couldn't naturally compensate the loss of Sini.

Then suddenly we got the call from our summer place in northern Finland: Sini had been seen and located! What a feeling of joy! They saw her again but Sini didn't let herself get caught by a stranger. There were no other options than to hop on the train and get our girl back home. Hearing the familiar voices Sini ran out of her cloister and the reunion was boundless. Sini spent the whole night spinning. She had been lost for two weeks.

At home Sami was overjoyed when his partner suddenly appeared. But then began the problems. Sini couldn't approve a new kitten at her home. She demonstrated bitternes towards everybody. She was bad towards the kitten and snarled to Sami and to as. She isolated partly because of her debilitation. Luckily we found a good home for the kitten with our relativity and she moved out (she is also a great cat and is still going strong). Sini's behaviour got normalised gradually in about a month.
